AMBI’s much anticipated psychological thriller “Lavender” will make its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this April as part of the Spotlight section – an exclusive lineup of marquee filmmakers, star performers and big issues.
“Lavender” stars Abbie Cornish (“Limitless,” “Robocop,” “Sucker Punch”), Dermot Mulroney (“August: Osage County,” “The Grey”), Justin Long (“Tusk”, “Live Free or Die Hard”), and Diego Klattenhoff (“The Black List,” “Homeland”). When a traumatic car crash leaves a photographer (Abbie Cornish) with severe memory loss, she begins to discover strange clues that suggest she may have been responsible for the death of family members she never knew she had.
Directed by Ed Gass-Donnelly, who also co-wrote the script with Colin Frizzell, the film was produced by Dave Valleau (“Reasonable Doubt,” “Capote,” “Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus”) and Gass-Donnelly through their respective companies, South Creek Pictures and 3 Legged Dog Films.
Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi’s AMBI Group co-financed the film alongside Silvio Muraglia’s Paradox Studios and Telefilm Canada, with additional financing provided by The Movie Network, a division of Bell Media, Movie Central, and the Harold Greenberg Fund. Iervolino and Lady Bacardi are executive producers along with Jennifer Levine, Emily Alden, Tex Antonucci, and Alexandra Klim.
“Lavender” will have its World Premiere screening at the festival on the evening of April 18, with Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi in attendance.
